Carmen Livesay is an experienced education professional, currently serving as the Director of Multilingual Learner Education & Title III at Malden Public Schools since August 2023. Prior to this role, Carmen held various positions at Boston Public Schools, including Formative Assessment Manager for Language Acquisition and EL Instructional and Support Specialist, where responsibilities included coordinating WIDA assessments and supporting educators. Carmen's background also includes extensive experience with Teach For America in multiple capacities, focusing on the professional development of corps members and fostering positive cohort cultures. Previous roles at Worcester Public Schools and Springfield Public Schools involved teaching and supporting English language learners, as well as coaching teachers. Carmen Holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in English as a Second Language from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Theatre and Performance Studies from Georgetown University.
