Petros Chigwechokha is a seasoned professional in the field of biological sciences and technology, currently serving as a Recombinant Technologist at Umkele Inc since June 2021. Additionally, Petros holds a position as a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at Malawi University of Science and Technology since May 2019, and previously contributed as a Lecturer and Researcher at Mzuzu University from May 2009 to April 2019. Petros Chigwechokha earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological Science and Technology from The United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences between 2013 and 2016, and holds a Master of Science in Aquaculture and Fisheries Science from Bunda College of Agriculture (2001-2009). Further specialization includes a training course in DNA Molecular Marker Techniques and DNA fingerprinting completed at Stellenbosch University in 2008.
