David Shapiro is the Head of Real Estate Securities at Makarora since September 2023. Prior to that, David was the Managing Director at Obra Capital, specializing in opportunistic investing. David had also worked as a Vice President at Monarch Alternative Capital LP and as an Analyst at The Blackstone Group and Goldman Sachs. David graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Economics and European History.
