Seamus Hoar is a Senior Partner, specializing in partner-level searches for law firms across the globe—within London, U.S. and Europe. He has extensive experience searching for individuals and teams and executing multiple practice area, cross-jurisdictional mandates.

Seamus has executed assignments in almost all major City/Wall Street firm disciplines and has worked on a number of high-profile U.S. law firm London start-ups. He regularly represents partners who are seeking to move law firms, providing access to key decision-makers with whom he has long-standing and trusted relationships. This facilitates a discreet and, ultimately, a more straightforward process that significantly reduces exposure in the market for an individual or team.

Before joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Seamus co-founded and operated a market-leading boutique executive search firm, Hoar Marshall, which specialized in partner search within the legal market. He then joined Heidrick & Struggles as a partner where he predominantly ran GC searches. He began his career with the leading, privately owned legal recruitment firm Quarry Dougall based in London.
