Julia Patrizia Roy is an experienced scientific manager with a focus on molecular biology and research methodologies. Currently serving as Scientific Manager III at MaineHealth Institute for Research since June 2009, Julia leads the Small Animal Imaging Core, providing advanced imaging solutions such as MRI, micro CT, and ultrasound. Previous roles include managing technology and conducting significant research on the influences of thyroid disorders on organism development, particularly concerning neurological implications. Julia's expertise encompasses a wide array of techniques, including various behavioral analyses in mouse models, molecular biology, and surgical procedures. Julia holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and a Diploma in Biology from the University of Hamburg.
