Gregory Fryer has extensive experience in corporate and securities law, currently serving as Senior Counsel and Partner at Verrill since June 1985, focusing on director duties, takeover defenses, and venture investing. Fryer has also been a Board member of the Maine Venture Fund since March 2018, with previous service from 2007 to 2013, and serves as outside counsel on selective transactions. In addition, Fryer was appointed to the Maine Maritime Academy Board of Trustees from May 2016 to April 2022 and was a member of the Maine Angels investment group from November 2012 to December 2019. Earlier legal experience includes positions at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP and Chadbourne & Parke LLP. Fryer holds a JD from Cornell Law School and an A.B. in Government from Dartmouth College.
