Jay Barrett is an experienced aerospace and maintenance professional with a diverse career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Equipment Service Manager at Maine Drilling & Blasting since March 2021, Jay previously held the position of Maintenance Controller at Alaska Airlines, managing critical inspections and troubleshooting efforts. Jay's extensive background includes roles such as Station Maintenance Manager at Alaska Airlines, where management of a $3 million operating budget and a team of 125 was key. Notable experience also includes positions at Virgin America as Technical Operations Supervisor, and as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician with American Airlines, where significant cost-saving safety initiatives were implemented. Jay has a technical training foundation from the USAF Sheppard AFB and supplemental education in deep sea diving.
