Richelle Smith started their work experience in 2001 as a Personal Lines Insurance at Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance. Richelle then worked as an Underwriter Assistant for Commercial Surety Bonds at Merchants Bonding Company from 2001 to 2004. From 2004 to 2010, they worked as a Senior Underwriter at Allied Insurance. In 2010, they joined Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company as a Commercial Surety Manager. Richelle then moved to Nationwide in 2019, where they held the position of Director, Business Development Commercial Surety. In the same year, they also started working at Main Street America Insurance as the Surety Service and Program Development Manager. Currently, they are the Director of Bonds Small Business at Main Street America Insurance.

Richelle Smith attended the University of Phoenix from 2003 to 2005, where they studied Business Management and Accounting. Prior to that, they attended Faith Baptist Bible College from 2000 to 2001 and obtained a degree in General Studies.
