Gene Sobol has a diverse work experience. Gene started as a Research Assistant at Brooklyn College in 2009 and then worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Merck from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they joined Phoenix House as a Consultant for a brief period before moving to Maimonides Medical Center. At Maimonides, they held multiple roles including Surgical Safety Coordinator from 2012 to 2014, SWAT Team Manager from 2014 to present, and Director of Performance Improvement in the Department of Surgery from 2015 to present. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Brooklyn College in 2013.
Gene Sobol has a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. They also hold a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, Health and Nutrition Sciences from Brooklyn College. Additionally, Gene has additional certifications in CITI Human Subjects and NIH Research.
