Jay Simpkiss is a seasoned professional in the structural engineering field, currently serving as a Senior Estimator at Maguire Iron, Inc. since November 2020. Previously, Jay held various roles, including Sales Engineer/Estimator, Elevated Tank Erector, CAD Operator, and Structural Engineer at Phoenix Fabricators & Erectors from January 2001 to November 2020. Jay's expertise encompasses the full design of elevated water storage tanks, collaboration on engineering projects, geotechnical report analysis, and the development of custom design software. Jay also possesses strong knowledge in environmental compliance and coating systems through work with AWARE Environmental and the paint division. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from Purdue University, obtained between 2003 and 2006.
