Karl Mayes is an experienced HSE professional with a strong focus on H2S safety and training. Currently serving as a Senior HSE and H2S Trainer/Supervisor at Maersk H2S Safety Services since March 2018, Karl leads H2S instruction and general HSE inductions for personnel entering gas plants. Previous roles include HSE Manager for an engineering firm in the UK and HSE Superintendent for Nabors, overseeing safety operations across multiple rigs. Karl has also worked as a Senior HSE Advisor for Chevron in the Gulf of Thailand and served as an HSE/H2S Advisor with Total in Arctic conditions. Education includes City and Guilds qualifications in Maintenance Engineering from Gt Yarmouth College and GCSE from Stalham High.
