Athnie McMillan-Comeaux is an experienced Youth Services Librarian at Madison Public Library in Madison, WI, since June 2021, and serves as an Information Services Specialist at Columbus Metropolitan Library since October 2016. Athnie has a proven track record of enhancing youth engagement through innovative programs such as the Tween Exploratorium and collaborations with local schools and community organizations to support underserved youth. Previous roles at Columbus Metropolitan Library include Customer Services Specialist and Customer Services Associate, focusing on high-quality customer service and efficient operations in a high-circulation environment. Additionally, Athnie tutors ESL students through Two Birds One Stone and is pursuing a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) and a Master of Education (MEd) in Library and Information Science from Kent State University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in English and Mandarin Chinese from The Ohio State University.
