Lisa Kvistad is an experienced education leader with a robust background in various roles within the Madison Metropolitan School District, serving as Interim Superintendent from June 2023 to July 2024, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning from August 2001 to August 2021, and Director of State and Federal Programs. Kvistad has also contributed to education as an Education Professional at LMK-12 Consulting, LLC from August 2021 to June 2023. Responsibilities included leadership in curriculum development, assessment implementation, and professional development, with specific focus on diverse departments such as Special Education and Talented and Gifted programs. Kvistad holds an Educational Specialist License in Superintendency from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the same institution.
