Matthias Bethge has a diverse work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and neuroscience. Matthias is currently the Director at Tübingen AI Center and a Professor at the University of Tuebingen. In addition, Matthias is a co-founder of Bundeswettbewerb KI, European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS), Maddox AI, and DeepArt UG. Matthias has also worked as an Amazon Scholar at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and as a Group Leader at Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics. Earlier in their career, Matthias was a researcher at UC Berkeley and a Postdoc at Redwood Neuroscience Institute.
Matthias Bethge's education history includes obtaining a Physics Dipl. degree from The University of Göttingen. Matthias later pursued a Dr. rer. nat. degree at the University of Bremen. Furthermore, they undertook a postdoctoral research position at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on the field of study.
