Carolene Kurien is a skilled proofreader currently employed at MAD since August 2022. Previously, Carolene served as an instructor for Intro to Creative Writing at the University of Miami, where responsibilities included teaching poetry and fiction to undergraduate students and developing multimedia content and writing exercises. Additional experience includes communications internships at the Aerospace Industries Association and Colon Cancer Foundation, where writing and editing various communications materials were key responsibilities. Carolene has also worked as a writing consultant and teaching assistant at the University of Miami, providing guidance on a range of writing projects and leading creative writing workshops. With a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and English from the University of Miami, Carolene combines a strong educational background with practical experience in writing, editing, and education.
