Luke Kavanagh is the current Operations Manager for MacStadium in Dublin. Prior to this, they were with the company for 2 years and 10 months, holding various positions such as European Operations Senior Manager and European Operations Manager. During their time with MacStadium, Luke was responsible for providing scalable, reliable, and secure private clouds and dedicated servers for workloads that require macOS. Luke was also trusted by iOS developers, mobile testing teams, and DevOps engineers around the world.
Before joining MacStadium, Luke spent 10 years and 10 months with Hostopia as the European Datacenter & Process Manager. In this role, they managed the European datacenters & employees, as well as Hostopia's disaster recovery across datacenters globally. Luke was also the change & incident manager for Hostopia worldwide. Some of their notable accomplishments include implementing & managing disaster recovery standardization through procedures & documentation, implementing & managing a change advisory board to align with ITIL best practices, and implementing & standardizing incident management procedures. Additionally, they oversaw the rollout & consolidation of three datacenter buildouts across Europe and implemented & standardized a global asset management for datacenter Infrastructure.
Luke has been instrumental in building MacStadium's infrastructure & operational presence in Europe. Luke is responsible for the hiring & management of staff as well as maintaining day to day operations within Ireland. Luke is also the focal point for all European technical & non technical queries for MacStadium. Luke has devised & implemented costs reductions which has saved the company money over the years.
Luke Kavanagh has a Dublin Business School advanced diploma in project management from 2019-2020. Luke also has an ITIL Foundation level from AXELOS Global Best Practice and a DCES from IDCA - International Data Center Authority. Additionally, they have a DCIE from IDCA - International Data Center Authority and a DCIS from IDCA - International Data Center Authority. Finally, they have a CDCP from EXIN your ICT competence partner.
