Mike Frey is the Associate Director at MACRO. Prior to MACRO, Mike was with Gardiner & Theobald Inc. for 12 years, where they served as the Associate Director of Project Management. In this role, Mike was responsible for developing and managing the overall project schedule, including design, agency reviews, pre-purchase/bid negotiation, construction, installation of FFE/owner-direct purchases and project turnover. Mike was also responsible for identifying and tracking critical path milestones in conjunction with the owner and design/construction team.
In addition to schedule management, Mike assisted with the finalization of design team contracts through RFP preparation/issuance/analysis. Mike also managed and participated in the design and code/permitting process, and determined the best means of contracting for construction activities (i.e. construction managers, multiple general contractors, direct vendors, etc.). Mike was also responsible for leveling and recommending which contractors or vendors that are most qualified.
During construction, Mike managed the day-to-day project activities (as owner’s representative), including the change control process, requests for information, shop drawings, project submittals. Mike also coordinated the project closeout process (i.e. punchlists, O&M manuals, as-builts, warranties, agency signoffs, etc.).
Mike Frey has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering.
They are on a team with Naida Serak - Director, Glen Dabaghian - Director, and Ginger Gilden - Senior Project Manager. and Jonathan Stukalin - Project Manager reports to Mike Frey. Mike Frey reports to Emily Sobel, Executive Vice President.
