Meisha Taumoefolau has extensive work experience in various roles within the field of child and family services. Meisha is currently employed at Healing Together as a Play Therapist, starting in December 2021. Before this, Meisha worked at MacKillop Family Services for a significant period, where they held multiple roles. These roles included Principal Practitioner Home Based Care, Therapeutic Practitioner, and Residential Coordinator. Meisha joined MacKillop in November 2012 as a Residential Coordinator and remained in this position until August 2021. Meisha also worked as a Residential Care Team Leader at Glastonbury Child and Family Services from October 2011 to November 2012. Prior to that, they were employed as a Child Protection Worker at the Department of Health & Human Services, Victoria from June 2009 to October 2011. Meisha's work experience also includes roles at Bethany Group, where they worked as a Supported Play Group Facilitator from April 2008 to November 2008, and as NEWPIN Casual Staff from January 2008 to November 2008.
Meisha Taumoefolau began their education in 2003, when they enrolled at Deakin University and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Meisha completed their undergraduate studies in 2005. In 2009, Meisha attended Gordon TAFE and earned a Diploma of Community Welfare.
From 2012 to 2014, Meisha returned to Deakin University for their Master's degree in Community and International Development. Meisha then pursued further education at Swinburne University of Technology in 2015, where they obtained a Certificate in Family Therapy, focusing on Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling.
In 2018, Meisha attended The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education and received a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Life Story Work. Following this, from 2019 to 2021, Meisha enrolled in Deakin University once again, this time completing a Master's degree in Child Play Therapy with a specialization in Play Therapy.
Meisha Taumoefolau has thus engaged in a diverse range of educational pursuits, primarily centered around psychology and therapy, culminating in their specialization in Child Play Therapy.
