David Linton has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of structural engineering. David started their career as an Intern at Portland General Electric in 2008. Later, they worked as a Structural Designer at APT Engineering, where they focused on the design of architectural granite cladding and support for high-rise buildings in various locations. In 2010, David joined Oregon State University as a Graduate Research Assistant, before moving on to become an Associate Principal and later a Senior Associate at Mackenzie. At Mackenzie, they served as the Structural Engineering Department Head and worked as a lead engineer and project manager on a wide range of multidisciplinary projects, specializing in large technology projects, office buildings, distribution centers, and emergency response facilities. David has also gained expertise in performing building assessments, cost estimates, due diligence reports, and seismic upgrades.
David Linton has a strong education background in engineering and business. David completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil Engineering at Oregon State University from 2005 to 2010. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Wood Science & Engineering at the same university, which they completed from 2010 to 2012. Following this, they furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Strategy from George Fox University between 2015 and 2017.
In addition to their academic achievements, David Linton has also obtained multiple professional certifications. These include becoming a Professional Structural Engineer from OSBEELS and CA BPELS in 2017, and obtaining a Professional Civil Engineering License from the State of Oregon in 2015 and the State of California in 2013.
