Ramla Elmi is an accomplished cybersecurity analyst currently employed at Mackenzie Investments since May 2023, where responsibilities include assisting with remediation efforts, designing security controls, and contributing to cyber-resilience education. Elmi holds significant leadership roles within multiple student organizations, including the Schulich Black Students Association as Senior Advisor and Co-President, responsible for overseeing finances and managing transactions. Additionally, Elmi serves as Head of Events and Head of Internal Affairs for the Somali Student Association at York, facilitating communication and event organization. As an Onyx Ambassador, Elmi promotes professional development for Black Canadians, while also participating in various mentorship and corporate relations roles within the Schulich community, including the Schulich Women in Leadership initiative. Elmi is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Operations Management and Information Systems at the Schulich School of Business, expected to graduate in April 2025.
