Felix Zhang

Chief Technology Officer at Mackenzie Health

Felix Zhang has extensive work experience in the field of technology and information systems. Felix started their career as the Manager of Information Systems at Glengarry Memorial Hospital in 2002 and held this position until 2006. Following this, they worked as a Project Manager for Clinical Applications at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in 2006. In 2007, Felix joined Cancer Care Ontario as a Team Lead for IT Services until 2011. Felix then moved on to become the Director of Information Technology at ICES - Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences from 2011 to 2015. Currently, Felix is the Chief Technology Officer at Mackenzie Health starting in September 2019. In addition to their CTO role, they are also responsible for the ICAT Redevelopment project at Mackenzie Health.

Felix Zhang's education history includes various programs and degrees in the field of digital health transformation, organizational leadership, systems science, and IT project management.

In 2022, Felix enrolled in the Executive Education Program at Harvard Medical School, focusing on Leading Digital Health Transformation. Prior to that, they completed the Executive Leadership Program at the Schulich School of Business - York University in 2015, specializing in Organizational Leadership.

Felix earned a Master's Degree in Systems Science from the University of Ottawa in 2006. Additionally, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in IT Project Management from the same institution in 2003.

Alongside their formal education, Felix has also obtained several certifications. In 2015, they became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)². In 2010, they acquired the COBIT Framework certification from ISACA. In 2009, they completed the ITIL v3 Intermediate Qualification - Service Transition from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Furthermore, Felix holds the ITIL v3 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice, which they obtained in 2007. Lastly, they earned the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute in 2005.
