Rod Chapman currently serves as the Head of Engineering at Mackays since November 2023. Previously, Rod was the Chief Engineer at Thistle Seafoods Ltd from October 2013 to August 2023 and held positions as Maintenance Manager and Engineering Team Leader at Farne Salmon & Trout Ltd from May 2005 to October 2013. Earlier roles include Shift Electrician at Ahlstrom Fibre Composites and Site Support Engineer at Delphax Technologies, among others. Rod began a career in engineering with the Royal Navy, where time was spent earning the position from Apprentice to Senior Rate on HM Submarines. Rod obtained an HNC in Engineering from HMS Collingwood between 1984 and 1996 and completed studies at Galashiels Academy from 1979 to 1984.
