Janine McKay is an accomplished professional with significant experience in community and client services, program management, and business improvement across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Community and Client Services at Mackay Regional Council since May 2023, Janine previously managed a $20 million statewide program at Queensland Fire and Emergency Services focused on enhancing community safety. Janine's tenure at Brisbane City Council included leadership of a commercial services team and the implementation of lean and agile methodologies. Additional roles at Ipswich City Council and EPA Queensland reflect a strong commitment to continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and environmental management. Janine holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, a Graduate Diploma in Public Sector Management, and multiple graduate certificates in safety leadership and climate adaptation.
