Yan Shen has been working in the software engineering and development field since 2014. Yan began their career as an Assistant Vice President, Business Analyst and Programming Enthusiast at First Eagle Investment Management in 2014. In 2018, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Prudential Financial and an Application Developer at Sulzer US, LLC. Currently, they are a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at MachineMetrics.

Yan Shen completed a Software Engineering Immersive Program at Fullstack Academy from 2017 to 2018. Yan then obtained an MBA in Corporate Finance and Capital Markets & Investments from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Prior to this, they earned a BEc in International Trade from Shanghai International Studies University. Yan has also obtained multiple certifications, including an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2022, an Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 8 Programmer from Oracle in 2021, an Accelerated Computer Science Fundamentals from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Coursera in 2020, and Actuarial Associate Exams FM-Financial Mathematics and P-Probability from the Society of Actuaries.
