Naveen Thakur has a long history of working in the technology industry. Naveen began their career in 1998 as a Technical Lead at SunGard, where they co-mothered the birth of NTM (now known as ESB) and worked on Monte Carlo and VAR engines, derivatives, and exotic swaps pricing. In 2000, they moved to Thales, where they worked as a Senior Architect for the London investment banking division at a range of German/French/US institutions, mainly in the credit and market risk arenas. In 2007, they became the Chief Architect at Aimia Inc. In 2016, they took on the role of Interim CTO at Energy Market Insights (Electralink). In 2017, they moved to CBRE as Senior Director of Architecture (EMEA). Currently, they are the Chief Technology Officer at Genomics England, a position they have held since 2018. In 2022, they will become the Chief Technology Officer at Machine Medicine.
Naveen Thakur attended St Angelo's Preparatory before completing a BSc in Mathematical Physics and Astrophysics from King's College London from 1986 to 1989.
