Nate Martell is an accomplished legal and risk management professional currently serving as Executive Vice President, Chief Risk Officer, and General Counsel at Machias Savings Bank since 2015. In this multi-functional role, Nate oversees risk management, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance, managing a team of vice presidents to ensure successful audits and adherence to bank objectives. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President for Risk Management at Emera Maine, where Nate represented the organization in regulatory matters before the Maine Public Utilities Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Additional legal experience spans several law firms, focusing on bankruptcy, commercial law, and real estate transactions.
