Sam Vinko is an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford since July 2020 and co-founder of Mach42 since May 2019. As a Tutorial Fellow and Stipendiary Lecturer in Physics at Trinity College Oxford, Vinko lectures on first-year courses including Calculus, Linear Algebra, Complex Numbers, and ODEs. Previously, Vinko held the position of Royal Society University Research Fellow at The Royal Society from October 2014 to October 2023 and was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford from October 2010 to September 2014, focusing on extreme states of high energy-density plasmas using X-ray free electron lasers. Vinko holds a DPhil in Atomic and Laser Physics from the University of Oxford and both a Laurea Specialistica and Laurea Triennale in Physics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
