Caixia Ziegler is an experienced investment professional currently serving as the Managing Director of Real Assets and Sustainable Investments at the MacArthur Foundation since May 2017. Prior to this role, Ziegler held the position of Head of Real Estate at the Ford Foundation from March 2014 to April 2017, and served as the Director of Global Real Assets at the National Railroad Retirement Investment Trust between July 2004 and February 2014, also working as a Senior Investment Advisor in U.S. Equity during that time. Earlier in Ziegler's career, roles included Senior Manager of Treasury/Pension Investment and Senior Treasury Analyst at United Technologies from March 2000 to June 2004, as well as an Associate in the Financial Management Development Program at Carrier Corporation, a division of United Technologies Corporation. Ziegler holds an MBA from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor's degree from Xiamen University.
