Barry Henderson has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Project Manager at MAAS Energy Works Inc since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked for GEICO as an Auto Damage Adjuster from February 2018 to June 2021. From May 2015 to February 2018, Barry was the Head Coach at Chico Area Swim Association, Chico AquaJets. Barry also served as the Head Swim Coach at Enterprise High School from August 2012 to August 2015. Lastly, Barry worked as an Assistant Coach at Sun Oaks Aquatic Racing from September 2007 to November 2014.

Barry Henderson attended Simpson University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus on Marketing/Management. Barry later pursued a brief period of study at California State University, Chico in 2006 and 2007, with a focus on Education.
