Ueli Thuerig has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Ueli began their career in 1987 as a Manufacturing Manager at Menziken Automation. In 1990, they joined Maag Pump Systems AG as a Manufacturing Manager and later became the VP of Operation International. In 2004, Thuerig became the General Manager of Polymer Systems at Textron Fluid & Power and then assumed the role of CEO at Maag Pump Systems AG. In 2013, they became the President of Europe at Dover Pump Solution Group, overseeing the operations of various businesses. Most recently, Thuerig has been the President of MAAG Group since 2014.

Ueli Thuerig completed an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree from the University of St.Gallen from 1999 to 2001. Ueli also attended the Schweizerische höhere Fachschule Winterthur from 1985 to 1987, where they obtained a degree in 1987. Thuerig's education history also includes studying as a Mechaniker from 1978 to 1982.
