James Hodson has extensive experience in motorway operations, currently serving as the Director of Motorway Operations and Facilities at Midland Expressway Limited since January 2003, where responsibilities include mobilizing the Motorway Operations Department for the M6 Toll motorway, the UK's first tolled motorway. This role involves recruiting and training a team of 40 personnel, as well as procuring specialist vehicles, equipment, and services to ensure a fully operational department. Prior to this position, James Hodson worked as the Operations Manager at Connect Road Operators from April 2001 to December 2003, overseeing the management and operation of the A50 Stoke to Derby Link, a privately financed trunk road.
