Douglas Carlberg

Douglas Carlberg has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several decades. Douglas began their career in 1967 in the U.S. Army, serving as a Chief Warrant Officer until 1996. After retiring from the army, they worked as Vice President of Global Operations at Harris Corporation, Microwave Communication (Farinon) Division from 1989 to 1999.

In 1988, they also held the role of Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Tracor Aerospace Inc. From 1996 to 1999, they served as President/CEO at M2 Global Technology, Ltd. Simultaneously, they were a Director on the San Antonio Manufacturers Association (SAMA) board in 1996.

Later, in 1997, Douglas joined the Executive Advisory Board at the Shingo Institute, promoting excellence in manufacturing and serving as an important contributor to the prestigious Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing. Douglas also took on roles within The Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) as Director SW Region and (Past) National Board Member, starting in 1997.

In 1999, Douglas became a Senior Business Consultant at GMD Solutions, Inc. and in the same year, assumed the position of Managing Director at M2 Global Solutions, a division of M2 Global Inc.

Prior to their professional career, they volunteered as a Senior Patroller for the National Ski Patroller System at Wintergreen Resort starting from 1972.

Douglas Carlberg pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting at the Wentworth Institute of Technology from 1967 to 1969, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Aerospace Engineering. Douglas then furthered their studies at the University of Arizona from 1969 to 1972, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
