Seb Pearce has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. They started their career as an ESL Teacher at EF Brisbane in 2011 and later worked as an ESL Teacher at Eurocentres Vancouver in 2013. From 2014 to 2015, Seb served as a Teacher Trainer and ESL Teacher at New Zealand Language Centres (NZLC) Ltd.
In 2016, Seb ventured into freelancing and worked as a Web Designer for a brief period. They then joined Culture Amp in 2016 as a Junior Engineer and progressed to the role of Engineer in 2018. At Culture Amp, Seb focused on front-end development and the design system, primarily using technologies like TypeScript, React, Stencil, Elm, and Ruby. They also spent time working on product teams building UIs.
In 2021, Seb joined Mathigon as an Engineer, contributing to the development of an innovative educational platform that aims to make mathematics learning more interactive and enjoyable. They worked with cutting-edge technology and implemented an innovative curriculum.
Currently, Seb is employed at UsabilityHub as a Senior Software Engineer, starting in 2022.
Seb Pearce completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Linguistics from The University of Queensland, which they attended from 2004 to 2007. Following this, they pursued further education at the Australian TESOL Training Centre, where they completed the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) program. Seb completed this program in 2011, but the start year for their studies at the Australian TESOL Training Centre is unknown.
