Guglielmo Montone has a diverse work experience in the field of research and entrepreneurship. Guglielmo co-founded Lynceus in 2018, where they serve as the Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that, in the same year, they were a member of the EFPA1 cohort at Entrepreneur First, a startup accelerator that supports individuals in building startups from scratch. Guglielmo has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Université Paris Descartes from 2014 to 2018, focusing on exploring Transfer Learning properties in Deep Neural Networks. Guglielmo'sresearch in this area received recognition, with one of their architectures being re-used by Google Deep Mind. Additionally, they collaborated with Berkeley University to apply transfer learning methods in a self-driving car application. Guglielmo began their career as a Research Assistant at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II from 2010 to 2011.
Guglielmo Montone has a strong educational background in both computer science and physics. Guglielmo obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physics from the same institution, graduating in 2010.
In addition to their formal education, Guglielmo Montone has also pursued further certifications in the field of big data. Guglielmo has completed various courses on big data integration, processing, modeling, management systems, and machine learning. These certifications were obtained from Coursera between February and March of 2019.
