Anthony P. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of facilities management, security, and operations. Anthony currently holds the position of Director of Facilities and Lab Operations at Lyell Immunopharma since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Sr Manager Facilities and Security at Plenty from March 2020 to June 2022.
From October 2018 to September 2019, Anthony worked as the Director Of Facilities Management/Security/EHS at Grove Collaborative. Before that, they were the Facilities and Maintenance Manager/Investigations and Security Manager / EH&S at Blue Apron from October 2015 to October 2018. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing physical security operations, investigations, and maintenance, and also developed security operation procedures and incident/crisis management plans.
Earlier in their career, Anthony worked at Pacific Gas and Electric Company as a Physical Security Specialist from January 2012 to December 2015. Anthony played a key role in conducting physical security surveys, performing security assessments, and managing the NERC CIP Program.
Prior to working in the private sector, Anthony gained valuable experience in law enforcement. Anthony served as a Safety and Security Supervisor at Genentech from January 2005 to October 2011. Before that, they worked as a Corrections Sergeant at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from May 1998 to December 2004. Additionally, Anthony has worked as a Special Agent at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from January 1996 to May 1998, where they were involved in various domestic and international investigations, as well as managing a warrant squad and drug tactical units.
Anthony P. attended The University of Georgia from 1992 to 1995. During this time, they did not obtain a degree or declare a field of study. In addition to their university education, they obtained several certifications. In March 1995, Anthony P. earned the Georgia POST (Peace Officer) certification from the State of Georgia. Later, in May 1998, they obtained the California POST (Peace Officer) certification from the State of California. Finally, in May 2008, Anthony P. obtained the First Aid/CPR certification from the State of California.
