Matthew Ripa is a dynamic professional in the field of theatre, currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Lycoming College since July 2023. Ripa has extensive experience as a Freelance Writer and Director, with notable directorial credits including "The Laramie Project" at the Callan Theatre and the Helen Hayes Recommended "Mack, Beth" at Keegan Theatre Company. In addition, Ripa is the Founding Artistic Director of the DC Queer Theatre Festival, which champions underrepresented voices in the arts. Previous roles include Operations Coordinator and Lecturer at The Catholic University of America, Producing Artistic Director at Doorway Arts Ensemble, and Drama Teacher at TLC - The Treatment and Learning Centers. Ripa holds an M.F.A. in Directing and Theatrical Production from The Catholic University of America and a B.A. in Theatre Performance and History from Salisbury University.
