Frederik De Smedt is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as a Senior Rust Engineer at Luzmo since April 2023, Frederik previously held the position of Tech Lead and Data Engineer at dataroots from September 2019 to April 2023. Early in career development, Frederik completed internships at RealDolmen, where a time registration system was developed using Android and Java EE, and at BNP Paribas Fortis, focusing on compatibility issues with a legacy VB6 application. Frederik holds a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from KU Leuven (2018-2019), a Master of Science in Applied Computer Science from KU Leuven (2016-2018), and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Computer Science from HOGENT (2013-2016).
