Susan Vosik Pekala possesses extensive experience in health and safety training, aquatic management, and academic instruction. Currently serving as an Aquatics Examiner for American Red Cross Training Services, Susan identifies improvements in lifeguarding and safety operations. As the Founder and Director of The SOEL Institute Inc., programming focuses on certification training with both the American Red Cross and American Health and Safety Institute. Susan also contributes as an adjunct faculty member at Luzerne County Community College and previously at Wilkes University, teaching courses related to health, safety, and personal development. With a history as an Aquatic Director at Greater Pittston YMCA and Wilkes-Barre YMCA, as well as outdoor and educational program director roles at various institutions, Susan has demonstrated strong leadership and program management skills throughout a diverse career. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Organizational Leadership and Management, a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Education, and a Bachelor’s in Wildlife Biology and Management.
