Alex Bertrand is a seasoned Research & Technology Associate at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) since March 2003, specializing in energy efficiency, industrial symbiosis, and circular economy. Bertrand's contributions include project management and collaboration agreements with ArcelorMittal Luxembourg, as well as involvement in European and national R&D projects focused on energy assessment methodologies. Prior experience includes serving as an energy and innovation expert for the European Commission, where Bertrand reviewed H2020 proposals and evaluated ongoing projects. Bertrand holds a PhD in Energy Optimization from EPFL, along with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electric Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden and Institut Supérieur de Technologie Luxembourg, respectively.
