Charlie Shufeldt has over 19 years of experience in the energy and metals sectors. Charlie began their career in 2001 as an Equity Research Summer Analyst at Lehman Brothers. In 2002, they moved to Bank of America as an Associate. In 2006, they joined HBK Capital Management as a Senior Analyst, where they sourced investment opportunities in the energy and metals sectors, performed due diligence and financial analysis on subject companies, structured and proposed investments for approval by Chief Investment Officers, monitored and directed trading on a portfolio of equity and credit investments, and maintained dialogue with management of portfolio and non-portfolio companies. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Managing Director at IOG Capital. During this time, they also served on the Advisory Board and Petroleum Investments Committee at Stanford Earth. In 2018, they became a Member of YPO and YPO Dallas. Since 2020, they have been the President and CEO of Elk Range Royalties and the Chief Executive Officer of Luxe Minerals LLC, a mineral acqusition business focused on the Permian. Charlie also served as President Emeritus, Board President, Board Member, and Volunteer for Friends of the Katy Trail from 2013 to 2018.
Charlie Shufeldt attended Westminster Schools from 1992 to 1997. Charlie then went on to Stanford University, where they earned a BA in Economics and Computer Science in 2002. In 2012, they obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst certification from the CFA Institute.
