Alain Dufait has extensive work experience in the food industry, primarily with the company Cargill. Alain started as an Assistant Production Manager in 1995 and went on to hold various roles such as Operations Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Malt Sales Manager in different regions. From 2006 to 2010, they served as the General Manager for Malt Europe and the Global Operations Manager for Malt. Alain then transitioned to the Starch & Sweeteners division, where they held positions as the General Manager for the Netherlands and Commercial Director for Europe. In 2016, they became the Managing Director at Cargill and later took on the role of Global Transformation Leader at Cargill Food Ingredients and Bio-industrial before leaving the company in 2022. Additionally, Alain Dufait co-owned Brouwerij De Bock in 2022 and became the Managing Director of Lutosa in 2023. Alain also served as Chairman of PORTIZ (Port & Industry Zeeland) from 2011 to 2014.
