Mary-Jo Shearer has an extensive background in program management and clinical supervision within the mental health and social work sector. Mary-Jo has held various positions at Lutherwood, including Assistant Director of Development and Communications, Manager of Donor Development, Program Manager for Employment Services, MHS Program Manager, Clinical Supervisor for Community Youth Justice Programs, and CMHO Accreditation Coordinator. Mary-Jo also worked as a Clinician at Leadership Waterloo Region and as a social work consultant during their self-employment. Mary-Jo holds a MTS degree in Marriage and Family Counselling from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BA in Sociology with a minor in Sexuality, Marriage, and the Family from the University of Waterloo.
