Daryl Morrissey has extensive experience in refugee resettlement and cultural orientation. Daryl is currently the Director for Refugee Resettlement at Lutheran Community Services Northwest, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this, Daryl worked as the National Cultural Orientation Coordinator at Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service from January 2015 to February 2023. Daryl also served as a CCCM Training Consultant at IOM from July 2013 to April 2014. Before that, Daryl held positions at UN Migration Agency (IOM) including Cultural Orientation Deputy Coordinator from April 2010 to September 2012 and Cultural Orientation Officer from May 2004 to September 2009. In their role as a Cultural Orientation Officer, they were responsible for developing training curricula and materials, managing a staff of CO trainers, and conducting refugee resettlement information campaigns.
Daryl Morrissey attended Bethel University from 1979 to 1983, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies. Afterwards, Daryl went on to attend Bethel Seminary-St. Paul, where they pursued a Master of Divinity degree in Religious Education. The dates and details of their enrollment in the seminary are not provided.
