Cheryl Wendt currently serves as Vice President & Chief Development Officer at Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois since June 2021. Prior to this role, Cheryl held multiple positions at Lutheran Life Communities, including Vice President of Donor Relations and Regional Foundation Director, from December 2017 to April 2021. Cheryl also served as Chief Development Officer at Elgin Symphony Orchestra from January 2011 to November 2017, where responsibilities included cultivating donor relationships and leading major fundraising initiatives. Earlier experience includes Director of Development & Marketing at Boys & Girls Club of Elgin and Owner/Sales & Marketing at FASTSIGNS in Carpentersville. Cheryl earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and English from Elmhurst University and graduated from Dundee Crown High School.
