James Kirkness has a diverse work experience in various industries. James began their career as a Paralegal at Sarah Bevan Family Lawyers from May 2015 to July 2017. James then worked as a Campaign Coordinator at Vodafone from June 2018 to October 2019. Afterwards, they served as a Legal Headhunter at Pinpoint Partners from October 2019 to August 2020, specializing in recruiting lawyers at different levels and in various practice areas. From August 2020 to April 2022, they worked as a Platform Manager at Route1, a company revolutionizing legal recruitment in the UK. Subsequently, they joined Legl in April 2022 as a Legal Partnerships Associate, where they contributed to providing law firms with digital solutions. Currently, James is working at Lupl as a Business Development - EMEA, starting in October 2022.

James Kirkness completed their Bachelor of Commerce in International Business from Macquarie University from 2013 to 2016. James then pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Macquarie University, specializing in Law, from 2015 to 2019. As part of their LLB program, James also participated in an exchange program at the University of Antwerp from 2017 to 2018, focusing on European and International Law. In 2021, James enrolled in The College of Law Australia to obtain a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in Law.
