Lucy James is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Chief Legal Officer at Luno since August 2017 and a Charter Member of TechGC since December 2021, a community for General Counsel. Previously, Lucy held the position of Senior Associate at Allen & Overy from November 2012 to April 2017, focusing on litigation and dispute resolution in banking, financial services, and regulatory matters. Lucy also worked as a Solicitor at Chapman Tripp from January 2009 to June 2011 and as a Judge's Clerk at the High Court of New Zealand from January 2007 to January 2009. Academic qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Cambridge and both a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Otago.
