Peter Thostrup is a Danish researcher who currently serves as the Scientific Programme Director at the Lundbeck Foundation. Peter has extensive experience in coordinating and heading up research programs, having served as Head of Secretariat at Carlsbergfondet / Carlsberg Foundation from May 2016 to May 2021, Scientific Coordinator at Aarhus University from July 2009 to January 2012, and Deputy Director at Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center from February 2012 to April 2016. Peter has also worked as a Research Associate at McGill University from March 2006 to June 2009 and as a Research Coordinator at Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center from August 2002 to February 2006.

Peter Thostrup has a PhD in Physics from Aarhus University and went to Viborg Katedralskole.

Peter Thostrup reports to Jan Egebjerg, SVP, Grants & Prizes & Director, Science. They work with Lars Torup - Scientific Programme Director, Strategic Programmes, Line Vildbrad Kristensen - Scientific Project Manager, and Ulla Jakobsen - Senior Grant Manager.
