John Wisson has worked in the medical field for over 30 years. John began their career in 1986 as a Biomedical Scientist (Microbiology) for the NHS. In 1990, they became a Development Scientist for Unipath Ltd. In 1997, they joined Alere Inc. where they held various roles including International Product Manager Respiratory & HAI, Global Product Manager Pneumonia & Strep A, and Director Global Marketing Respiratory & HAI. In 2017, they moved to Abbott as Director New Product Development Infectious Disease, where they were responsible for pipeline innovation and strategic management of new products. In 2018, they joined Lumos Diagnostics as International Product Director, where they strategically managed the product launch for FebriDx, led market development and demand marketing, and developed a Medtech Innovation Briefing to support adoption of FebriDx within the NHS.
John Wisson completed a BSc. Hons in Applied Biology (Microbiology) from the University of Hertfordshire between 1992 and 1994. John then went on to obtain a BTEC HNC Medical Laboratory Science from Anglia Higher Education College, Cambridge, and a BTEC ONC Medical Laboratory Science from Bedford College of Higher Education.
