Juan Carlos Soto started their work experience in 2011 as the COO and Strategic Alliances at Luminix, Inc. Juan Carlos also held the role of Advisor at the same company. In 2022, they became a Board Observer at Ascend.io and a Venture Partner at Shasta Ventures. In 2022, they also became a Board Member at Curriki and a Board Observer at Valimail. In 2023, they ended their role as Board Observer at Resilinc. Prior to these positions, Juan Carlos Soto worked at IBM as the Vice President, leading their integration offering portfolio. Juan Carlos also served as the Chairman of the Board at Vaadin and a Board Member on the GraphQL Foundation Governing Board. Additionally, they mentored at First Round Fast Track.

Juan Carlos Soto has a Master's degree in Engineering Management from Stanford University. Juan Carlos also holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (HW and SW) from the University of Florida.
