Florian Berchtold is an experienced software manager and engineer with a robust background in automotive software development and mechatronics. Currently serving as a Software Manager at Luminar Technologies since September 2020, Florian previously held the positions of Staff Software Engineer at the same company, Senior Automotive Software Developer at Samsung Electronics from April 2019 to August 2020, and Funktionsentwickler Antriebstrang at MAN Truck & Bus AG from February 2014 to March 2019. Florian began the professional journey as a Java Software Developer at Tiroler Gebietskrankenkasse in 2007. Florian completed a Master of Science degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at the Technical University of Munich between 2011 and 2013, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, Florian participated in an exchange semester at UNSW in 2010, focusing on solar cells and robotic design.
